On April 5, 2014, Atlanta is going to show the state of Georgia and our government that our children's safety need priority. Our nation's children are screaming for help. We need tougher sentencing in crimes against children. We have to keep child murderers, child rapists and abusers in jail. According to a Congressional hearing in Washington June 2011, experts believe nearly 10 children die from abuse each day in this country. Thousands are being s*xually exploited, millions are in poverty and living on our streets across this nation. Sentencing in crimes against children typically carries 25% of the sentencing if the same crime was committed against an adult. Every 30 minutes, a child thinks about su***de. Our children have no voice, they need your voice and this is a call to action for every child advocacy group, organization, father, pastor, son, brother, grandfather, grandmother, cousin, uncle, educator, nurse, doctor, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, parent, non-parent and every child to join us on the street on April 5, 2014
