A Message from Epilepsy Newfoundland & Labrador đź’ś
After much thoughtful consideration, and with heavy hearts, Epilepsy Newfoundland & Labrador would like to share that our social enterprise thrift store, Previously Loved Clothes and Things, will be closing to the public effective May 13, 2026, with final in-store shopping taking place up to that date.
Since opening in 1998, this store has been so much more than a place to shop—it has been a cornerstone of our organization and a true reflection of community spirit. This decision was not made lightly. After careful evaluation, we have made the difficult but necessary operational decision to evolve our fundraising model to support the long-term sustainability of our organization and mission.
This change allows us to focus more directly on our core mission and ensure our resources are used where they have the greatest impact.
To every person who has donated, shopped, volunteered, and helped spread the word over the years—thank you. You have played a direct role in building Epilepsy NL into what it is today. Because of you, we have been able to provide education, support, and advocacy to thousands of individuals and families across Newfoundland & Labrador.
We also want to extend our deepest gratitude to our staff and management—past and present—whose hard work, dedication, and heart made Previously Loved so special.
We invite you to stop by before May 13 to say goodbye, share memories, and take part in our final days.
Epilepsy NL is not going Anywhere đź’ś
While the store is closing, Epilepsy NL is not going anywhere.
We will continue to operate from the other side of our building at 351 Kenmount Road, and we are simply evolving how we fundraise. Our organization remains strong, and there will be no cuts to our programs or services.
While this is a difficult and emotional transition for our organization, we are looking ahead with care and intention—focused on strengthening and expanding our services to reach more individuals and families across Newfoundland & Labrador.
Our goal is not only to continue our work, but to grow it—enhancing our programs, increasing access to education and support, and finding new ways to better serve our communities, including those in rural and underserved areas.
Your support is still as important as ever. If you are able, we encourage you to continue supporting Epilepsy NL through donations, partnerships, and by helping us spread awareness.
The future is bright, and we are proud to continue building and expanding our impact across Newfoundland & Labrador—together. 💜
