We are pleased to introduce Franz as the new President of ETRS!
Sandra is professor at the Department of Dermatology in Leipzig University and her lab focus on investigating interplay of immune cells and skin stromal cells in chronic wounds and skin fibrosis.
From all of us, welcome on-board Sandra, we wish you the best of luck for this new chapter as ETRS president, we look forward to working with you on the ETRS Board!

We are delighted to welcome (Marta T., PhD | A bit of Life 🧬 ) and (Neha) as the new Early Career Researcher (ECR) representatives on the European Tissue Repair Society (ETRS) Board! We are sure Marta and Neha will do an amazing job ensuring that early-career researchers and young scientists continue to have a strong voice, visibility, and representation within our society! A big thank you to Ezzo and .Panayi Adriana C Panayi, MD, PhD for their valuable contributions, dedication, and commitment to representing ECR board within the society over the past years. We are grateful for all the work they have done to support and strengthen our ECR community. 👏

A really good few days in Rouen for the ETRS Annual Meeting.

The science was strong and varied — basic repair mechanisms in one session, clinical work in the next — and there was a lot of useful overlap between the two. Posters, coffee breaks, dinner in the museum surrounded by paintings and sculptures.

Congratulations to all the award winners — well deserved. And thank you to the organisers and hosts in Rouen for putting together a meeting that ran beautifully.

Leipzig, 1–3 September 2027. Already in the diary.

A really good few days in Rouen for the ETRS Annual Meeting.

The science was strong and varied — basic repair mechanisms in one session, clinical work in the next — and there was a lot of useful overlap between the two.

Posters, coffee breaks, dinner in the museum surrounded by paintings and sculptures, and the usual late terrace afterwards.

Congratulations to all the award winners — well deserved. And thank you to the organisers and hosts in Rouen for putting together a meeting that ran beautifully.

The countdown is on! will begin with an outstanding Day 1 program, September 2nd 2026.
We’re excited to welcome researchers, clinicians, engineers, and innovators for the opening day of the ETRS 2026 Conference, where we’ll explore some of the most exciting advances in tissue repair and regenerative medicine. Here’s a sneak peak of what to expect for Day 1.
