Voting for next year's Seeds for Change recipients is open! Fifty-two organizations have qualified to participate in the 2027 Seeds for Change program.

The 10 organizations with the most votes from Co-op owners get a spot in next year’s program.

Voting is online only. Co-op owners can vote online at northcoast.coop/vote.

Voting ends Sunday, November 15, at 9 pm.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated, sponsored, volunteered and helped make this donation possible. Your support means so much and will help us continue supporting local kids and families in our community. We truly appreciate the Humboldt Association of Realtors and everyone who continues to support the work we are doing through Bridging the Gap Foundation!

It’s that time of year again! Bridging The Gap Foundation is preparing for our 2026 Christmas Project, helping bring a little extra joy to those who may otherwise be overlooked during the holidays.

Last Christmas, with the generosity of our community, we were able to make a difference through several local programs and organizations:

🎄 Foster Youth: 105 youth ages 14–21 received $130 gift cards.

🎄 Family Reunification: Five families who met the requirements to reunite with their children from the foster care system each received a $500 gift card to help make their first Christmas together special.

🎄 Domestic Violence Shelters: We provided $130 gift cards to clients at Humboldt Domestic Violence Services and Harrington House Domestic Violence Shelter in Crescent City. Children at Harrington House also received Christmas gifts.

🎄 Fostering A Wish: Working with this program, we provided Christmas gifts to two youth who entered foster care just days before Christmas.

In 2026, we hope to continue supporting these same groups by providing Christmas gifts and gift cards.

Bridging The Gap Foundation’s 2026 Christmas Project 🎄

Every year, Bridging The Gap Foundation helps bring Christmas joy to local foster youth, families reunited with their children, and survivors of domestic violence across the North Coast.

Last Christmas, with the help of our amazing community, we provided gift cards to 105 foster youth, helped five families celebrate their first Christmas back together, and supported local domestic violence shelters and youth entering foster care.

We’re reaching out again this year to make Christmas a little brighter for those who might otherwise be overlooked.
