Each year many animals are abandoned in our district, or placed in our care because owners are no longer able to look after them. It is our aim, with assistance and support from our local community, to care and look after all animals entrusted to us until they can be rehomed responsibly and enjoy a safe and happy life. The Kidderminster & District Branch is run by a committee of trustees who oversee the branch activities, everyone works on a voluntary basis. Our volunteers are the backbone of the branch and without them, the branch could not function. We support the work of our local RSPCA Inspectors by funding veterinary treatment and accommodation for animals suffering cruelty, neglect and those animals that are ill or require longer term specialist care or emotional support.
Fundraising
Each year our Branch rescues and rehomes approximately 300 animals from within our area. As you can imagine, we need therefore to raise a large amount of money to support these activities. Fundraising is one of our principal sources of revenue. We need fundraisers to raise money to keep providing the necessary welfare for these animals who would not be able to survive otherwise. As we receive no government funding or grants, we must raise all these monies ourselves. You can help in our organised events, even perhaps being the organise!! You could help at our regular coffee mornings or jumble sales
You could become involved in a sponsored event eg an Abseil
You can help in our Charity Shop at Stourport
You could help collect goods for the shop
You could take out a 'standing order' to give monthly financial support
You could leave a legacy to the Branch ( specifying that the legacy must be for the Kidderminster & District Branch only ) see our website section about Legacies.
