Through the provision of evidence-based information, education and counselling, we provide unconditional peer support to mums and their families. At the same time, we educate and equip health professionals a

nd advocate to remove the societal barriers to breastfeeding. Our breastfeeding counsellors and educators are volunteers who have undergone comprehensive training in breastfeeding education. They volunteer their skills and time to support families through the many services ABA provides. ABA group meetups, the National Breastfeeding Helpline 1800 686 268, ABA LiveChat, the mum2mum app, breastfeeding.asn.au, podcast: 'Breastfeeding ... with ABA', and individualised breastfeeding support are some of our free services. Volunteers dedicate their time and expertise to organise and facilitate ABA services in our community. Other ABA services our volunteers provide and support include ABA membership, breast pump hire and sales, breastfeeding education webinars, health professional seminars and more. ABA Virtual Village membership provides additional breastfeeding information and support resources. Becoming a member also helps ABA continue to maintain and provide first-class breastfeeding and parenting support services. The ABA’s guidebook 'Breastfeeding … naturally', the quarterly magazine 'Essence', FULL MEMBER REFUND on our online Breastfeeding Preparation Session webinar (in Tasmania), discounts on breast pump hire and access to premium content in the mum2mum app are all among ABA member benefits. Having a baby? New and existing members can claim a full refund of the cost of our antenatal class - Breastfeeding Preparation Session - online and held weekly.
