💕💚 CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR SEPTEMBER Sorority Sister OF THE MONTH! 💚💕

Please join the Delta Xi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® in celebrating our September Soror of the Month, Soror Yalanda Edwards! 💕💚
Initiated in 2021, Soror Yalanda Edwards is a dedicated entrepreneur, devoted wife, loving mother, and purpose-driven woman who believes that success is most meaningful when it is accompanied by service, integrity, family, and a commitment to uplifting others.
Her commitment to sisterhood, scholarship, leadership, and service is evident through her continued involvement in our chapter. Soror Edwards has served as Committee Chair of Special Observance and as a committee member for Scholarship, AKA Founders’ Day, Sister Relations, Fundraising, Build Our Economic Wealth, Uplift Our Local Community, and Awards.
Through meaningful relationships, community involvement, and a genuine heart for service, Soror Edwards continues to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Your service reminds us that true leadership is not always about having a title, it’s about showing up, lending a helping hand, inspiring others, and making a meaningful impact.
Your dedication and willingness to serve are a beautiful reflection of our commitment to Service to All Mankind. 💕💚
On behalf of the entire Delta Xi Omega Chapter, we say:
🎉 CONGRATULATIONS, SORORITY Sister of the month YALANDA EDWARDS! 🎉
Thank you for all that you do, all that you have done, and all that you continue to do. We appreciate you. We celebrate you. And most importantly, we honor the difference you make! 💕💚

Our YLI participants completed their final activity of the program! They chose to plant a fig tree in honor of Arbor Day. They learned the importance of environmental stewardship, teamwork, and giving back to the community.

Shout out to Godley’s Garden Center for assisting the kids as well as Livingstone College for allowing us to plant the tree in their Poets and Dreamers Garden on campus! 💚🪴

It has been a pleasure working with these future leaders and we can’t wait to see what their future holds. Remember small actions can lead to a massive impact.
