We have become aware of a scam wherein authors are being invited to participate in the Texas Book Festival for a fee. Please be aware that these communications are not affiliated with Texas Book Festival. Texas Book Festival does not charge authors to participate in the official Festival program.

Communications from official Texas Book Festival staff will always end in .org. Any email addresses not ending with this domain are unofficial and not affiliated with Texas Book Festival.

While exhibitors, including publishing presses, are allowed to feature their authors at their assigned space throughout the Festival weekend, it is against Texas Book Festival’s exhibitor policy to resell or sublet any space allotted to an exhibitor. This includes charging authors a fee to be featured at their booth.

If you have been contacted by anyone claiming to work for the Texas Book Festival, please do not engage and let us know by emailing [email protected].

It’s official! Our friends pulled off a full festival reinvention, and we’re so excited to share what it means for all of us who love books, ideas, and great conversations.

ℹ️ What to Know: Co-presented by Texas Book Festival, K*T and the Tejemos Foundation, the Texas Book Talks Stage at K*T Fest will feature author panels on Saturday, May 2. All of our author talks have moved to the Backyard at East End Ballroom (4715 E 5th St.). Book signings will happen right after each session.

Unfortunately, this year’s K*T for Kids Fest, which featured TBF children’s book authors Eliza Kinkz, Don Tate and Anne Wynter, has been cancelled. We hope to develop an exciting program with this incredible trio soon.

Come settle in, stay awhile, and keep the energy going for a full day of incredible voices, big ideas, and the kind of conversations that remind us why we love books in the first place.

Take a look at the schedule, and we sincerely hope you will come spend the whole day with all of the fine folks from the TBF team and all of the wonderful authors of great books listed here! ✨

See you this Saturday, May 2nd at the K*T Festival. ❤️📚
