AKA-LADE Foundation Non-Profit Foundation

The AKA-LADE Foundation was established in 2006 as the philanthropic arm of the Lambda Alpha Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. AKA-LADE is a 501(c)(3) organization that works in partnership with Lambda Alpha Omega to provide programs and services that empower communities in need.

Program areas include: Economic Empowerment − Financial and economic literacy − Entrepreneurship − Empowerment for low-income families Education and Scholarship − Reading and literacy − Academic excellence for elementary and high school students − College preparation and career development − Fashionetta® Teen Mentorship Program − Arthalia Jackson College Scholarship Fund Fine Arts − Arts programs for youth in underserved communities − Promotion for appreciation of the arts − Arts education Health − Health education and/or wellness in under-served communities − Education and awareness of auto-immune diseases − Programs that promote nutrition and fitness in children and youth − AIDS awareness, education and prevention
