TrueSongs is an event showcasing five remarkable people from our community telling deeply personal stories, and five original songs created especially for them by some of our favorite songwriters. One of these inspirational stories is that of Camp Abilities Saratoga’s own Max Shear! On Friday, November 6, Caffe Lena’s TrueSongs returns to Universal Preservation Hall and we want you there to experience this powerful night of empathy, insight, and live performance. On Friday, Nov. 6, we invite you to join us at Universal Preservation Hall in Saratoga Springs for “True Songs: Lyrics of Life” presented by Caffe Lena, featuring our very own camper, Max Shear!

This powerful show features original songs and first person stories highlighting area non-profits and the courage and determination of everyday people.

Be there to hear Max talk about his journey, from losing his vision, adapting to his blindness, learning to overcome the challenges, to ultimately making the U.S. Blind Hockey team!

We were honored to have the New York State Office of Children and Family Services visit camp this year! And we are proud of all Camp Abilities camps that exist due to the pioneering efforts of Dr. Lauren Lieberman!

And just like that.... Camp week has officially come to a close! WOW!!! Time sure does fly when you are having fun!!

CONGRATUALTIONS to all of our campers, on all of their achievements throughout the week, and to our counselors that worked with them. THANK YOU to the specialists, nurses and Asst. Director for all the work they put in this week. And a HUGE THANK YOU and shout out to our AMAZING camp Director, Tiffany, for her hard work and dedication not just this week, but for the past 13 years.

HUGE shout out and THANK YOU to the Town Of Greenfield Lions Club -NY for providing dinner at our final camp dinner at the Saratoga Spa Park! It was great..... and the French Fries were amazing!!!! YOU ROCK!!!!
