Warm Pacific greetings,
We invite you, your families, and your communities to stand together in unity at the Parliament Grounds and raise one powerful Pacific voice. Come dressed in your traditional wear if you can or in a white Pacific Justice shirt (available to purchase before Wednesday $25 dollars at PHSHV).
This is a peaceful call for fairness, advocating for visa-on-arrival for our Pacific nations. Pacific peoples are Aotearoa New Zealand’s closest neighbours. Our islands are part of the same Pacific family, bound by deep historical, cultural, and relational ties, and by the support we give one another in times of need.
While more than 60 countries can enter Aotearoa through the NZeTA, Pacific families continue to face unfair and inequitable barriers. This is our moment to stand together with dignity, respect, and unity.

⚠️ SEWAGE DISCHARGE AT MOA POINT – STAY OUT OF BEACHES ON THE SOUTH COAST

UPDATE 9am
Wellington Water Staff are onsite at the impacted areas, distributing fliers and speaking with the local community. This will continue throughout the day.

Crews will be back onsite today, working to ascertain the full impact of the flooding on the plant’s equipment and operations. This assessment will take some time, and we expect that this will be an extended outage at the plant.

Keep up to date by following Wellington Water.

-----------------------------------------------------

Update 4:20pm: A rāhui has been placed from Ōwhiro Bay to Breaker Bay and will remain in place until further notice.

-----------------------------------------------------

Heads up Pōneke, there is an ongoing discharge of untreated sewage from the Moa Point Wastewater Treatment Plant due to a serious mechanical failure overnight. Wellington Water is investigating.

For your health and safety, please:
❌ Stay out of the water along the south coast
❌ Do not collect or eat shellfish from the affected area
❌ Do not take dogs to the beach during this time
