Barking. Growling. Chasing. Aggressive? Or simply misunderstood? 🐾

A dog’s behaviour is communication. Fear, territory, pain, stress, or lack of structure can influence how community dogs respond.

The answer isn’t fear or punishment. It’s structure:
✔️ Scientific & responsible feeding practices
✔️ Vaccination and sterilisation
✔️ Health monitoring
✔️ Positive human interaction
✔️ Community coordination

A calm dog isn’t created through fear. It’s created through a safe, predictable environment.

Before calling a street dog “aggressive,” ask: What is this dog trying to communicate?

Fear creates conflict. Understanding creates coexistence. 🐶❤️

Let’s build safer communities through empathy, responsibility, consistency, and humane care.

The most “inauspicious” animal… or the greatest teacher? 🐕

We were taught to fear, ignore, or remove street dogs. But ancient wisdom saw something different— A guardian. A companion. A symbol of unconditional devotion.

Praveen Radhakrishnan 🇮🇳🇺🇸 forces us to look beyond labels and ask: What if the beings we reject are the ones teaching us the deepest lessons about humanity?

Watch till the end.

Today our den caught fire.

My tiny room, our NGO office, where we foster neonatal puppies and raise our rescue dogs, the room where Kaali spends most of her days sleeping, guarding, existing like the quiet queen she is, filled with smoke within seconds.

When I opened the door, the room was completely black. Smoke everywhere. Flames rising from the mattress. Burnt plaster falling from the ceiling.

And Kaali was inside.

The exact spot that was burning… is where Kaali sleeps every day.

I called her name. No response.

For a few seconds that felt like an entire lifetime, I thought I had lost her.

But I then instinct took over. And two buckets of water later, through the smoke… out walked Kaali.

Unharmed.

These were probably the longest seconds of my life. But emergencies reveal something strange about love.

They don’t paralyse you. They sharpen you.

Today reminded me of something I have always known — Kaali is not just one of the dogs we rescued. She is the spirit of this place.

Now the room she guards will need repairs, because fire leaves its signatures behind.

But tonight all that matters is this:
Kaali is safe. And the den still stands.
