GIA FORAKIS & COMPANY (GF&CO) dedicated to the application of One-Thought-One-Action (OTOA)™ through art, ritual and performance, under the Artistic Direction of Theater/Visual Artist and OTOA Founder & Master Teacher, Gia Forakis, and the Associate Artistic Direction of Theater/Visual Artist/Teacher and OTOA Managing Director, Darya Gauthier. OTOA is the study and practice of identifying smaller

increments of thought as smaller moments of physical action. OTOA is taught as a Performance Technique & Training (PTT)™ designed for performers, directors, collaborators, theater makers and public speakers, and as OTOA Creative Life Practice (CLP)™ open to creative thinkers in any field. OTOA is the sister enterprise to GF&CO offering classes, workshops, seminars, salons, studio-labs and performance-labs that are open to the public, as well as GF&CO member training, project development, productions and residencies.

It was an honor for THIS IS NOT A CURE (GF&CO’s 7.5 min Creative Collective Ceremony video, created in 2021 in response to the Covid pandemic and lockdown) to be accepted into the 18th TRIENNIAL SYMPOSIUM for ART & TECHNOLOGY at the Ammerman Art Gallery of Connecticut College in New London, CT.

The video, and other installations, will be on display until April 24th.

This world-renowned symposium included an extraordinary collection of inventive and innovative projects exploring the juncture between Art & Technology while embracing this year’s theme: “All Too Human”.

There were lectures, galleries, workshops, presentations, and performances in Ai, Virtual Reality, Video, Music, Dance, Sculpture, Performance, Mixed-Media, Photography, Sculpture, Audio, plus a wide variety of hybrid art-forms that defy categorization, challenge the boundaries of art, question the meaning of human intelligence and what it means to be human.
