🌟 **Our Community Park – Opening Soon!** 🌟
We're incredibly proud to announce that our community park is almost ready to open!
This project has been years in the making and is a true reflection of what can be achieved when a community comes together.
Firstly, we'd like to recognise the **previous Playing Field Committee**, who worked tirelessly to raise funds for the playing field. Sadly, when COVID-19 arrived, those fundraising efforts had to be redirected into supporting the community through an incredible local response, providing masks, hand sanitiser and help to those who needed it most. Their dedication and selflessness should never be forgotten.
A special thank you also goes to **Bev Parry** and **Bethan Findlay**, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure those original funds remained protected in the Business Club account and were available when the time came to build this exciting new track. Because of their commitment and determination, the funding was kept alive, allowing the project to finally move forward.
From there, the first phase of the park became a reality. Thank you to **Iwan Ward** for his continued campaigning for improvements to the playing field and for organising charity events over the years.
A huge thank you to **Mathew Parry of Frenni Transport**, who generously topped up the funding and donated his time and machinery to help make the project happen, and to **Barry Mogs of BJD Construction Ltd** for turning this dream into a reality through his hard work and expertise.
Our sincere thanks also go to **Gary Evans ("Glo") of Parc Gwynfryn** for generously donating the topsoil, and to **CBS Building Supplies** for their generous donation of building materials.
The park will include a bike track, a toddler bike training area, play equipment and, once the grass has established, a mini football pitch for everyone to enjoy.
We hope this becomes a place where people of all ages can get outdoors, get active and enjoy spending time together—making up for some of the opportunities our children and families missed during COVID. We can't wait to see children building confidence on their bikes, kicking a football around and making memories that will last a lifetime.
This is only **Phase One**, and we'd love the community's continued support with future fundraising so we can keep adding new features and improving the park for generations to come.
Thank you to everyone who has helped make this happen. We look forward to welcoming you all on opening day and seeing our community enjoy this fantastic new space for many years to come. 🚴⚽🌳❤️
