Dear people,
I hope you’re doing well!
As you may know, we are traveling to Chilean Patagonia in January 2027, and I wanted to share a little more about the trip we are putting together.
We have organized an 11-day, 10-night photography and adventure expedition to explore some of the most iconic places in the Magallanes Region, including the Strait of Magellan, Punta Arenas, Torres del Paine, as well as some more remote areas where we can experience wild horses, remote mountains, wildlife, and the incredible landscapes of Patagonia. Lots of birds and plants so see.
Photography will be a big part of the experience. We will focus on wildlife and landscape photography, including several days dedicated to tracking and photographing pumas in their natural environment. Depending on conditions, we may also have opportunities for hiking and one of the top 10 highlights on this trip is the ice hiking in Glacier Grey.
One of the experiences I am especially excited about is a traditional Chilean Huasos festival. We have been invited to photograph part of the event, but also to share a seat and a table with a local family on the day they arrived. This will give us an opportunity to photograph the people, horses, traditions, and atmosphere from a much more personal perspective.
The idea is to create a great palette of photographic subjects and experiences—landscape, wildlife, horses, people, culture, mountains, weather, and adventure—while giving everyone the time and space to make meaningful photographs. We are 3 staff and at this point 4 participants, I am looking for up to max 9 participants.
I will be the trip leader, and we will also have the remarkable photographer Daniel Milnor joining us as our photography leader. Daniel will encourage us, teach, challenge, and help us polish our photographic skills throughout the journey.
While we are in Puerto Natales, we will also spend time with Chris Jordan, who will facilitate a visit to his gallery and share his work and perspective with us.
So, it should be a pretty special combination of photography, adventure, culture, wildlife, and local experiences.
You are welcome to do solo or bring a friend with you, the important thing is to be open to this remarkable experience.
Hope to hear from you!
