On June 07, PRCC Trans Chicago will sponsor a Call to Action for Trans Rights and Services in the city of Chicago. Northwestern University has led this task to commence the data collection process.
Northwestern University and Brave Space Alliance have an exciting survey that we are currently conducting called The Chicago Area Trans Survey (CATS). This survey looks at transgender and nonbinary (TNB) individuals living in Cook County and aims to simultaneously assess what resources, services, and programming are currently needed for TNB community members as well as to understand how TNB individuals in Cook County define their intersectional and multi-faceted identities.

Additionally, our main objectives are:
to explore the personal journeys and unique experiences of Trans and Non-Binary individuals in Cook County;
to discover the various issues that Trans and Non-Binary individuals in Cook County are presently facing and
to identify the current needs of Trans and Non-Binary individuals living in Cook County.

By collecting these survey data, we will be well-equipped to successfully create more relevant and ultimately beneficial resources, services, and programming for TNB community members living in Cook County, but there will also be more concentrated literature available on TNB community members who live in Cook County. There are also unique opportunities to discover new insights into the lives of transgender people that we believe similar surveys may not have considered enough, such as questions centered around participants' experience of ‘trans joy.’

We would genuinely appreciate your support in distributing this Chicago Area Trans Survey link and media to Trans and Non-Binary individuals aged 18+ who are currently residing in Cook County to hear their experiences and perspectives: ****Please view the flyer attached *****.
