The college awarded its first bachelor's degrees to nursing students in December 2025!

🎓Here’s something many people in our community may not realize… 📚

Cochise College is now offering the opportunity to earn a bachelor’s degree locally—and at the same affordable tuition rate as its standard classes.

That means students right here in Cochise County can pursue a four-year degree without taking on the high costs typically associated with universities, all while staying close to home, work, and family.

This is a major step forward in expanding access to higher education across our region—creating new opportunities for career growth, workforce development, and long-term success right here in Southeast Arizona.

Whether you’re a recent graduate, a working professional, or someone looking to continue your education, this program makes achieving a bachelor’s degree more attainable than ever.

The Residential Construction Technology program is in great and capable hands!

Justine Rivera, alumna, will be featured on the cover of Move Over Bob Magazine’s Spring 2026 edition as part of Women in Construction Month.

A graduate of Cochise College’s Residential Construction program and former student aide, Justine built her skills through years of hands-on experience helping construct project houses #4, #5 and #6 while completing consistent side jobs. She earned her R-62 Remodel Contractor license in 2024 and her B-General Contractor license in 2025.

She will return to Cochise College as an instructor starting July 1, 2026, inspiring the next generation of builders.

Justine says she hopes women see someone who looks like them building homes and adding to communities in a field where women are often underrepresented. Her cover story helps redefine what it means to be a “house maker,” not just someone who keeps a home, but someone who builds it.

The magazine is available for preorder now and will be released in April.
