One element that all downtowns have in common is that the physical, social, and economic character will change. The challenge for Cocoa is to keep change from translating into decline. Cocoa Beach Main Street’s response is to become directly involved in causing positive change. The following is a sampling of some of those changes we plan to continue and develop:
• Strong public/private partnerships with the City of Cocoa Beach and all stakeholders
• Façade grant program
• Downtown Business Watch Program
• Inventory of available buildings for sale or lease
• Market Analysis and Redevelopment Recommendations for retail & residential uses
• Develop downtown events
• Green Space Design Concept
