Our dedicated Cat Rescue and Rehoming Centre is situated in Miramont de Quercy, in the department of the Tarn et Garonne. We are also on the border of the departments of the Lot, and Lot et Garonne in the Aquitaine region. To our knowledge there is no other Rescue Centre dedicated solely to abandoned cats in FRANCE. In 2015 our dedicated cat Rescue Centre helped 364 cats and kittens. Chats du Quercy Rescue Centre is open by appointment during weekends, holidays and of course, during the week. Our objective is simple, to help cats in need. To visit the cats for adoption, please call us to arrange an appointment on 05 63 94 73 97. Each cat receives the best possible care and attention from the day it is admitted to the moment of its adoption. We operate a no kill policy and we always operate in the best interests of cats. History
Lynn Stone, president of Chats du Quercy, has a proven and very successful track record in cat welfare. Since moving to France in 2001, Lynn and her husband, Ron have been involved in cat welfare. In 2004 they established a cat adoption centre. These facilities are now the primary base for Chats du Quercy. Since 2004 Lynn, Ron and more than 50 other dedicated volunteers have rehomed 1000’s of cats and kittens, and indirectly helped thousands of others all over France. In 2011, Lynn became a qualified Cat Behaviourist, with the aim of helping place the cats we have for adoption in the best home possible for each individual cat. Lynn is also a member of the Organisme Européen des Conseillers Comportementalistes. Lynn’s aim is also, to address the reasons why cats are abandoned in the first instance, to alleviate these problems, thereby, helping cats to stay in their own home and not surrendered to a refuge. Our aim is to be able to help even more cats and improve understanding of their needs. Our Mission
To protect and enhance the quality of life for cats in France.
