Just a little reminder that there will be NO FORRÓ on Tuesday, 13 October!

We’re taking a short one-week break to get everything organised behind the scenes and make sure we’re ready for an amazing new term!

We’ll be back on Tuesday, 20 October, ready for more forró and good vibes!

🎉 END OF TERM PARTY + FUNDRAISER

Hey forrozeiros!!

Come celebrate the end of term with us while supporting a very special member of our community.

Camila, a former volunteer and member of our community, is currently going through some medical difficulties and will need surgery and time to recover. So this Tuesday, we’re bringing our community together for a night of Forró, live music, food and lots of dancing, while raising funds to support her during this time.

📍Redfern community centre
⏰ From 6PM
🎶 Live music with Linden, Alma to Soul & Jacaranda
🥟 Potluck: Brazilian snacks are already sorted, but feel free to bring something to share!

📍Entry is donation based, details will be provided on the night.

Come dance, eat, enjoy some beautiful music and, most importantly, help us support Camila. Every contribution makes a difference.

It's National Volunteer Week this week!

For those who don't know, Sydney Forró Dance is a completely volunteer run organisation with dedicated people teaching, supporting and organising weekly Tuesday classes and socials over these past 11 years.

To give perspective, the classes run most weeks of the year which means these guys are dedicating almost 1/7th of their year to keep this running.

Please continue to bring those who are looking to find rhythm, learn how to dance or be a part of a really great community so we keep on growing.

Let's give some love to all the dedicated members of the community for all help big and small 💕

3 extremely talented instructors - Yse, Ícaro and Giovanna

Over the space of 1 week we had 9 workshops run by these amazing people for the 2026 Sydney Forró Festival

We dove into roots and added extra variety and fun to our dancing. Every class was insightful and just pure enjoyment.
