Does anyone recognise these gorgeous people from probably the 1920's or 30s? The Waiuku museum is trying to figure out who they are from a large collection of glass negatives.

Exciting!! Get in quick if you are keen!

Well, here it is, our first public event for 2025!
Due to overwhelming popular demand, we'll be heading back to a South Auckland favourite of the team, the Waiuku Museum!
The museum is unique, has real character and houses a vast and eclectic treasure of fascinating and historical items. The various buildings around the land have many stories to share, if you're ready to listen. We love this place and know you do too, as tickets for these events usually sell out within just a few hours.
Spaces are limited to ensure a less crowded, and a more satisfying and immersive experience for all.
Come join the Paranormal NZ team for a night of paranormal exploration. Supper will be provided also.
Note: this is an R16 Event and not suitable for young children.
To secure your space, send us a message via our Paranormal NZ FB page to get payment details.
All proceeds go to the museum to help with renovations.
See you there!

We’re Looking a Little Different!

While our collection remains a timeless treasure trove of history, we believe the museum itself doesn’t need to be stuck in the past! Thanks to the incredible support of our generous donors and friends—including the Franklin Local Board—we’re thrilled to announce the start of an exciting makeover!

This is just the beginning of the transformations you’ll see at Waiuku Museum over the coming months and years. Be sure to follow us here on Facebook for updates, become a Waiuku Museum Member to join the journey, and pop in during our regular hours (Wednesdays 10am–12pm and Sundays 1.30pm–4pm) to see the progress in person.

Special Open Day – This Sunday, 10am–4pm!
Explore all the historic buildings on Tamakae Reserve, which will be open for the day. Our wonderful volunteer team will be on hand to answer your questions and, if you ask nicely, they’ll happily give you a tour of our collection!

Entry Fees:
• $10 per adult
• $7 per student or senior
• $5 per child under 16 (or free if accompanied by an adult)

We’re also excited to announce that we now have EFTPOS available, including payWave, ApplePay, and GooglePay, for your convenience.

Come and be part of our exciting journey as we blend the charm of history with a fresh new look. See you this Sunday!
