Bearcat's Couponing for Community I serve individuals and families who might not know how, or have the time, to coupon! Like a personal shopper for useful items, such as household goods. WE WIN.

Bearcat's Couponing for Community is what happens when you mix the love of hip-hop + commUNITY + coupons. I learned to coupon back in 2012 (shoutout to SholaBear! :) and have spent the last few years refining my abilities and studying the process. My family and friends have benefitted from my stockpile and many of them asked if I could teach them? The answer: Yes, I COULD, but I quickly learned that a majority of people aren't cut out to be couponers! It requires A LOT of time, organizational skills, attention to detail, and above all, commitment. I felt my time would be better spent couponing myself and then passing the deals along to them. Thus, Couponing for Community was born. Here's how it works: YOU PAY. I COUPON. I do not pay retail so I can afford to pass the savings on to you! The real benefit comes from my knowledge of store coupon policies and by "rolling" my initial investment each week. My clients pay, on average, ½ the retail price of everyday household goods! On certain items it is a little more, but on most items it's much, much less. FOR EXAMPLE: A bottle of TRESemmé shampoo is priced at $3.88 on Walmart dot com, I would purchase it from whatever store is having the best sale that week using coupons, then my client would then pay me $2.00 for it. SOME OF THE BRANDS MOST OFTEN PURCHASED BY MY CLIENTS:
Tide
Downy
Bounce
Dawn
L'Oreal
Tresemme
Suave
Pantene
Garnier
Nivea
Dove
Dial
Softsoap
Crest
Colgate
Listerine
Schick
Gillette
Febreze
Glad
Clorox
Windex
Pledge
Huggies
AND MANY MORE! One thing I ask of clients, trust my skills with deals. We are not focused on brand loyalty. You may request a specific product which I will do my best to get at a price that is beneficial to us both or I will find a comparable product that you can choose to take. Due to time and energy limitations, I can serve 15-18 clients per month. I have a "rolling" membership which means once you're in, you're in! It also means that there are not always slots available because a lot of my clients choose to stay in. Application process is very informal:
1.) Submit short application
2.) Quick consultation
3.) Small prepaid membership fee so I can shop for you, think of it as a buy-in. This is credited to your account and serves as my insurance that you will actually pick up the products you've requested. Fee can be waived at my discretion.
4.) I'm out on the hunt! The more consistently you pick up products ordered, the more I can continue "rolling" your money on additional items. Please note: It is illegal to purchase items using coupons with the intent to resell - I AM NOT A RESELLER AND I AM NOT A BOOSTER! All products are legitimately purchased from a reputable retailer (usually Target, CVS, Walgreens, Smith's, and occasionally Walmart). I retain all receipts for business purposes and pay all taxes. Although I do base my prices per item, it is not for the actual product - it is for my services. I spend 80+ hours per week acquiring coupons, researching deals, organizing materials, scouting stores and online prices, inspecting stock, and finally, purchasing items for you! So, why do I do this? I was raised with a very strong sense of social responsibility and have worked for over a decade in the social services. I know how hard it is for community organizations to make their dollars stretch and touch as many lives as they can. There came a point when I was saving incredible amounts of money and had built up quite a large stockpile of goods. My cabinets were full...and so were the closets...and so was the storage room... I realized that all of this stuff was awesome but what about right now? Why should I be hoarding enough shampoo and toothpaste for 87 years when there are people out there that need it right now? And we decided to make our first donation of many, which you can check out on Instagram, hashtag: . Back in September 2014, I was able to save enough money through couponing to organize a community event to benefit 3 local organizations: New Mexico S.A.F.E. House, Watermelon Ranch Animal Center, and Truman Health Services. (Google "Your Mic Sounds Nice: Compliment Rap Battle & Donation Drive" for more info.) It felt good to DO more, and I realized that the only way I can DO more is if I SAVED more. I chose to quit the 9-to-5 and focus on the things I truly believe in, it is my life's work - imagine what can you accomplish by saving? CONTACT INFO, EMAIL: [email protected]
