General information
Emily Johnson is more than just your average ten-year-old girl. Though she suffers from cerebral palsy, Emily is a bright, joyous girl with a zeal for learning. She attends classes at the Center for Independence, a school designed for special-needs children in the Chicagoland area. Her mother, Kristin Johnson, will appear this season on NBC's "Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is." Over the course of the show's twelve weeks, Kristin, working with Wellness365 head trainer Mike Richards, will aim to lose 30% of her total body weight, or 88 pounds. She is doing this, she says, because she has struggled with obesity for most of her life, making caring for Emily very difficult. By donating to Lose It For Emily, 100% of your donation will go to aid the Johnson family and the Center for Independence as they work together to help Emily Johnson grow into a happy, healthy woman.
