Endeavour still has room for both the upriver trip from Holehaven causeway to St Katharine’s Dock marina leaving at 0930 on Friday 31st July and the downriver trip from St Katharine’s Dock Marina to Holehaven causeway leaving at 1500 on Monday 3rd August – ETA Holehaven 2000.

These trips don’t happen very often and are a really great experience. Toilet facilities are available on board !!!

For members who don’t feel up to the trips Endeavour, along with 18 other Dunkirk Little Ships, will be open to the public on Saturday 1st August in the marina which is within easy distance of Fenchurch Street Station. She will also be alongside on Sunday 2nd August and access would be possible to members by appointment

** Fancy a trip on the Endeavour **

If there are any that you are interested in, please let us know and we’ll see what we are able to do

Of current interest is the trip leaving at 1520 on Saturday 18th to rendezvous with the Lower Thames Rowing Club, who have a gig they have named ‘Endeavour’ for photos of mother and daughter !

Another, previously popular, trip is coming up on 31st July where members are invited to join the boat at Holehaven causeway (by the Ship and Lobster) at 0930 for a run upriver to St Katharine’s dock marina. The first 10 members who apply will be on board

This event is part of the Association of Dunkirk Little Ships rally at St Katharine’s and all the boats will be open for inspection on Saturday 1st August. Those members, who find it difficult to get aboard, would be most welcome to visit with more ease of access.

Another opportunity for a Thames river trip exists on Monday 3rd August when again the first 10 members who apply will board at 1500 for a trip down to Holehaven causeway, where they will disembark (ETA approximately 1930)

The Friday and Monday trips will involve either getting home from St Katharine’s dock or getting there, probably by train. St Katharines Dock is within easy reach of Fenchurch St station.

Do we have anyone among our followers that knew Harry Robinson, son of the Harry Robinson that had Endeavour built in 1926?

If so, we'd love to hear any memories of the man and what he was like for the centenary book about Endeavour we're currently preparing! Drop us a message below and we'll contact you off list!
