Looking for volunteers to help our at Ting Pavilion THIS Wednesday, August 19th for the Dominic Fike show!

Volunteering at the Pavilion is one of the ways CAMBC earns $$ to purchase tools that helps maintain our local trails, if you are unable to volunteer for trail work, this is a GREAT way to give back!

Good Afternoon! 😊
We have an opportunity to earn some 💲 at Ting Pavilion on Wednesday, August 19th. Pouring b**r at the Pavilion for shows is one of the ways CAMBC funds the trail projects and work that we do.

Volunteering for trail work is often hard for some, this is another way you can help 😁

Next week Dominic Fike will be performing, if you are unfamiliar with his music......

"American singer, rapper, songwriter, and actor who blends genres like rap and reggaeton. He first gained recognition for songs released on SoundCloud and later signed with Columbia Records after releasing his 2018 EP Don't Forget About Me, Demos. Fike has collaborated with artists like Halsey, Justin Bieber, and Brockhampton. He's also contributed to the soundtracks for Euphoria and Spiderman: Across the Spider-Verse."

Here's an option for our August 6th Summer Social

Mint Springs is generally steep and rocky and can be difficult riding for some. Hiking might be a more suitable alternative. If there's enough demand, Dave has offered to lead a guided hike up the Ridge Trail and the Sunset Trail to Sunset Ridge to catch the sunset. This half hour hike climbs about 300 feet in about a mile and features several well-engineered switchback turns built by the CAMBC trail volunteers, with the big payoff of "the slab" and the boulder garden at the summit.

Touch base with David Stackhouse if you're interested in this hike option.

HAPPY FRIDAY for all who celebrate! 🥳😉

Mark your 🗓️ for Thursday August 6th! 6-8:30pm for our summer social event.
We'll be at Mint Springs park
There will be guided rides 🚵 and food afterwards 🍔🌭
If you haven't been out to see the work CAMBC has done building those trails , this would be your opportunity to ride with someone who knows the trails and can show you around.
We'll be grilling out afterwards 🍔🌭.
Bring your own beverages, we'll have water available.

PLEASE sign up below if you will be attending so we know how much food is needed. And how many ride leaders we'll need as well.

Ramona & the Holy Smokes (H***y Tonk and Mexitonk)
w/ Patrick James

Based in Central Virginia and with family roots in South Texas, Ramona and the Holy Smokes represent a new generation of h***y tonk music. With powerful female vocals that cover an emotional range from determined to comic to vulnerable, and a talented backing band steeped in classic country and western styles of the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, the band exhibits a “clarity and sincerity that bring Patsy Cline to mind” (Nashville Scene, 2025). Fronted by Ramona Martinez, whose songwriting has earned her recognition from Wide Open Country as one of the "15 Latino Artists Shaping Country Music," this Charlottesville, Virginia-based band is rooted in the traditional sounds of country music but unafraid of pushing boundaries and highlighting the connections across border cultures. They have appeared at several Americana festivals including Red Wing Roots (2024), Rooster Walk (2025), and Bristol Rhythm & Roots (2025), and has opened for touring artists like Margo Cilker, Colby Acuff, Willi Carlisle, Redd Volkaert, Joshua Hedley, Donna the Buffalo, and Kashus Culpepper. Their self-produced debut album, Ramona and the Holy Smokes, a collection of original songs about heartache and resiliency, was released on September 26.

Weather

Friday - Sunny, with a high near 90.

Friday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 62.

***If rain is possible, please ensure that you bring rain gear. We will continue the show rain or shine!***
