Lights & Sirens to Remember 5k Walk/Run The Lights & Sirens to Remeber 5k walk/run was created to honor the service and sacrifice made by 10 local Heroes. The race will start at 8:15a.m. Program.

The fifth annual Lights & Sirens to Remember 5k Walk/Run will be held June 11, 2016. at the Clifty Six Volunteer Fire Dept. located at 631 Clifty Drive, Madison, IN 47250. This event was created to honor 10 of our local Fallen Heroes. Firefighter James King of the Western Fire Co. #3, Last Call: October 23, 1887

Firefighter Peter "Ike" Hoagland of the Walnut Street Fire Co. #4, Last Call: August 2, 1929

Officer Frank J. Knoebel of the Madison Police Department, End of Watch: December 30, 1920

Firefighter Robert Haak of the Western Fire Co. #3, Last Call: May 12, 1966

Firefighter Bernard Kalb of the Walnut Street Fire Co. #4, Last Call: July 6, 1966

Firefighter Larry Cheatham of the Western Fire Co. #3, Last Call: July 15, 1988

Firefighter Greg Cloud of the Kent Volunteer Fire Company, Last Call: November 1, 2006

Firefighter/EMT Jerry Stucker of Dow Corning Fire Dept. and Clifty Six Volunteer Fire Dept.,Last Call: September 14, 2007

Deputy Roy "Bruce" Sutton of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Dept., End of Watch: December 11, 2009

Every day, our local public safety officers risk their lives to save the lives of others. Our community has been made all too aware of the ultimate price that they sometimes pay. This event will honor the memories of these ten brave men and proceeds of this event will go to The Jefferson County Public Safety Assistance Fund, The Jefferson County Emergency Repsonse Team, and the Madison Police Department D.A.R.E. "Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." - John 15:13
