🖤💛❤️ Juneteenth | Freedom Day ✊🏾
Today, we honor Juneteenth—June 19, 1865—the day the last enslaved African Americans were finally informed of their freedom.
Juneteenth reminds us that freedom delayed is justice denied. It is a day to reflect on our history, celebrate resilience, and recommit to the ongoing fight for racial and economic justice.
As union members, we know that the fight for dignity, fairness, and respect on the job is deeply connected to the fight for equality in our communities.
Local 420 stands in solidarity with our Black members and honors the generations of Black workers whose strength, leadership, and contributions continue to shape our union movement.
Let’s continue to organize, uplift one another, and build a future rooted in justice, equity, and unity.
✊🏾 In Solidarity,
