Georgia Music Partners Georgia Music Partners (GMP) was formed to promote the business of music and related music technology Georgia Music Partners, Inc.

(GMP) is the Leading Advocacy Organization for the Music Business in Georgia, operating in partnership with The Recording Academy® Atlanta Chapter. The recognized authority on, and advocate for, Georgia’s music business, GMP is also actively engaged with education, local and state governments, business organizations, and music business leaders. Through these partnerships, programs are developed and facilitated which will enable the state to better market music business in Georgia —which attracts investment dollars by encouraging music technology companies to headquarter in our state. Last night, we represented Georgia Music Partners at the Atlanta History Center for an inspiring conversation with Dr. Joycelyn Wilson about her new book, Hacking Hip Hop: Design Remix Logic in Research, Method, and Practice.

The evening was a powerful reminder that hip hop is more than music, it's history, innovation, culture, and a catalyst for creativity, scholarship, and connection.

Thank you to the Atlanta History Center for hosting this important conversation, congratulations to Dr. Joycelyn Wilson on a remarkable new book, and thank you to Christopher Daniel for expertly moderating such a thoughtful and engaging discussion.

Georgia’s creative community is stronger when we create opportunities to learn from and celebrate one another.

🚨 GEORGIA, YOUR VOTE MATTERS. 🚨

While Governor Kemp may have vetoed HB14, this is not the end of the fight, it’s a call to action. Georgia’s music industry has the power to come together, raise our voices, and create lasting change for our future.

Artists. Producers. Songwriters. Executives. Fans. Our collective voice can shape what comes next—but only if we SHOW UP.

🗳️ Vote today.
🗳️ Vote for leadership that supports creativity, culture, and the future of Georgia’s music community.
🗳️ Vote like our industry depends on it, because it does.

The time for waiting is over. The future of Georgia’s music industry is in our hands.

While we are disappointed that HB14, the Georgia Music Office bill, was not signed into law, the momentum behind this movement is undeniable and the work is far from over.

Georgia’s music industry has long been one of the state’s most powerful cultural and economic drivers, shaping global music culture across hip-hop, R&B, country, rock, gospel, and beyond.
The artists, creators, producers, venues, educators, and businesses that fuel this industry deserve a dedicated voice and infrastructure to support continued growth and opportunity.

We are proud of the coalition of artists, industry leaders, venues, educators, and advocates who united around the vision for a Georgia Music Office. What began as a bill has grown into a broader movement focused on protecting, elevating, and investing in Georgia’s music ecosystem for generations to come.

This is not the end of the conversation, it is the spark for a larger movement that will shape the future of music in Georgia.

As we look ahead to the next election cycle, it is critical that Georgia’s music community stays engaged, informed, and active at the ballot box. The future of music policy in Georgia will be shaped by those who show up, speak out, and vote.
