As today is the deadline for Embodied Festival's programming submissions, we must make an unfortunate announcement.

We are deeply sorry to announce that Embodied at Daniels Spectrum on March 14 and 15, 2020 has been postponed. We made this very difficult decision to postpone due to a serious illness on the event team. We are currently working with the Daniels Spectrum team to find another event date.

We understand that this change may cause great inconvenience for you and are sincerely sorry. We did not want to delay the festival and apologize for these circumstances beyond our control.

Any submissions received to date will be held over to the new date, if those submitting are still interested and able to attend. As soon as a new date is available, we will inform all who submitted proposals and announce across social channels. Our website and FAQs will be updated shortly.

Should you have questions, please feel free to reach out to us at [email protected] or on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. We thank you in advance for your patience during this time of high communications volume with our team.

Sincerely,

Nicole

Submit Your Larp To Embodied Festival 2020!

We want your larps for Embodied in March! If it's your first time submitting or running a larp, that's okay - we can offer support and feedback. Dates and guidelines at our site:

We have three theatre spaces in Ada Slaight Hall available for larps in four-hour slots. They are most suitable for Blackbox and similar larps (more on Blackbox design here) but any style of larp that can be played indoors can be proposed.

"Envisioned and organized by artist Dread Scott and documented by filmmaker John Akomfrah, Slave Rebellion Reenactment (SRR) will animate a suppressed history of people with an audacious plan to organize and seize Orleans Territory, to fight not just for their own emancipation, but to end slavery. It is a project about freedom."

On November 8-9, 2019, hundreds of re-enactors will retrace the path of the largest slave rebellion in United States history, embodying a story of resistance, freedom and revolutionary action. Slave Rebellion Reenactment is a community-engaged artist performance and film production that, on November...

We were in the Regent Park neighbourhood today so took some pics of the Daniels Spectrum and the area surrounding!

We probably won't get weather this warm in March, but hopefully you'll still be able to enjoy walking around the 'hood during the Festival.

Website updates on the way!
