JMAS Cambodia ABC Project Japan Mine Action Service (JMAS)

Education opens doors to opportunity — especially in places where access to higher learning remains limited. In Cambodia, Komatsu has supported landmine clearance efforts and, as of April 2025, helped build 10 elementary schools on cleared land. To help students continue their education beyond primary school, Komatsu launched a scholarship program in FY2022. This year, 25 students are benefiting from the initiative.

教育は、可能性への扉を開きます — 特に高等教育へのアクセスが限られている地域では。コマツはカンボジアでの地雷除去活動を支援し、地雷が除去された土地に、2025年4月時点で10校の小学校を建設してきました。子どもたちが初等教育を終えた後も学び続けられるよう、2022年度に奨学金制度を立ち上げました。今年は、25名の学生がこの制度を活用しています。

Mr. Chhit Rotha (Present studying in Norton University / Year 3/Computer Design)
, He was a student in KOMATSU primary school in Cheamontrey Village, Treng Commune, Rattanak Mondul District, Battambang.
He was living in the remoted and danger area surrounding by land mine. After the mine cleared, infrastructure and the new school construction have been started. the new KOMATSU primary school collected the all the student near by for education. Mr. Rotha is the one of those student. but now Rotha is the outstanding student in the capital city. We Proud of you!!!
