Non-profit aimed at reducing the mental health crisis in Dallas through providing free mental health services to families in need.

The HeadFirst Mental Health Initiative (HMHI) is a mental health non-profit (501c3) aimed at reducing the burden of mental health in underserved populations in Dallas through providing community outreach, public education, and evidenced-based mental health treatment at no cost to families. Services and Programs
HMHI provides the following services to children, adolescents, teens, parents, and families in the Dallas area:

Play Therapy

Adolescent and Teen Therapy

Parenting Support and Coaching

Community Education

Clinical Training and Education for Providers

Community Outreach Services

It’s almost here! This Thursday, November 14, we’re gathering at ROAM in support of Headfirst Mental Health Initiative! Bring your friends, family, and anyone who loves to give back — 15% of all proceeds will fund mental health services right here in our community. We can’t wait to see you there!

Join us on November 14 at ROAM in Lakewood for a day full of connection, creativity, and community support! 💛

From 9:30 - 11:00 AM, enjoy our Mommy and Me Therapeutic Play dates (ages 2+) with play therapist Rebecca Jaimes, featuring hands-on play stations and special take-home “Be With” attitude cards.

Then, from 4:00 - 6:00 PM, come back for a relaxing social hour with positive affirmation bracelet-making, tasty snacks, refreshments, and a private shopping event. Best of all, 15% of the day’s proceeds go directly to support the Headfirst Mental Health Initiative (HMHI) and our mission to provide free mental health services to those in need.

Mark your calendars, bring your friends and family, and let’s make it a day to remember!
