Please consider donating towards the legal fees for this appeal against the previous government's decision to allow a new gas fired power station with Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS). It's an important case in curtailing the future of CCS, being heavily promoted by the fossil fuel industry and heavily subsidised by our taxes. The judge allowing the appeal said it has a good chance of success. Every little helps.

I have campaigned for science-based climate action for over 20 years. I have been forced to take legal action because governments are not genuinely taking the necessary actions.

Retired scientist Andrew Boswell is taking the government to the Court of Appeal on the previous decision to allow a gas fired power station with Carbon Capture and Storage in the North East. The judge allowing the appeal said Andrew has a good chance of success but he needs money for the case. Read more here and please consider donating any amount to his fundraiser https://www.crowdjustice.com/case/net-zero-teesside/
Success would really help in the fight against false fossil fuel solutions to the climate crisis.

The need for an EU-wide ban on the export of banned pesticides and hazardous chemicals.

Although many pesticides and hazardous chemicals are banned in the European Union in order to protect human health and the environment, huge quantities of these very same toxic products are still produced and exported by EU companies to developing countries, where often safety regulations are weaker and less strictly implemented.

SumOfUs have presented a 213,000-strong petition to the European Commissioner for Environment, calling for an end to toxic exports. He told SumofUs directly that the European Commission aims to propose a law next year to stop the export of chemicals already banned in the EU.
