502nd Pathfinders Reenactment Group - Widow Makers

502nd Pathfinders Reenactment Group - Widow Makers We are a UK based group of WW2 military reenactors who portray the US 502nd pathfinders of the 101st Welcome to the 502nd Pathfinders Reenactment Group Page.

We are a group of UK based WWII reenactors who portray Pathfinders from the U.S 502nd parachute infantry regiment of the 101st airborne division. Our aim is to provide historical reenactments and interaction with the public at WWII events around the country. Some of our members are ex military with an airborne background and as such we hope to present the brotherhood and unique characterisitics of

these special troops both historically and morally. Our Female members portray the US Womens Army Corps. (WACs)

It is often said that paratroopers are the tip of the spear. To that end the Pathfinders are the edge upon that tip. Small heavily armed units leading the way, tasked with locating, securing and defending the drop zones for the following sticks of troopers. The first US paratrooper to hit the ground on D Day was a member of the 502nd.

We had the pleasure of meeting Michel De Trez while in Normandy at the D-Day Experience, Saint Côme du Mont and have our copies of Carentan volume 5 D-Day Publishing signed by the man himself.

Not our first visit to the museum and definitely won’t be our last. If you’ve never been, we highly recommend you do.

Normandy. You were amazing.

So we have arrived in Normandy, after a very eventful 48 hours. Cancelled ferry crossings due to bad weather, rushing to book alternate travel, followed by a five hour road trip at the end of that. But we are finally at our lodgings.

Our hosts have exceptional taste in decor.

We will be going live tomorrow on TikTok and Face book, laying our wreath at the pathfinders memorial. Then returning at 13 minutes paste midnight to again pay our respects to the guys at the church in Saint-Germain-de-Varreville.

We are all smiles. Why?

Only a few days to go now until the Temple At War Show. What can you expect?

Along with some of our very special friends, we will be creating a display, that will take you from the D Day Drop zone to the outskirts of Carentan and a foward aid camp.

Don’t be shy, come and say Hi and meet the 502. You may have to look closely as many of the guys will be bivouacing in the trees.
