Paso Del Norte Health Information Exchange PHIX is a non-profit, health information exchange in the El Paso region.

PHIX facilitates real-time data sharing between a variety of health providers enabling providers to see the full picture of a patient’s health history from across the continuum.

We are excited to announce that through PHIX, users can now access records from The City of El Paso's Fire Department Emergency Medical Services (EMS). This seamless flow of information allows for better care coordination between EMS and hospital staff. PHIX continues to lead the Diabetes Data Workgroup in collaboration with the Paso del Norte Health Foundation and the Diabetes Alliance to better understand the landscape of diabetes in El Paso. The 2024 analysis begins to answer "who has diabetes?", "what are the adverse outcomes of diabetes?", and "what social factors impact diabetes?" to strengthen community knowledge.
