👑 Not long now! The Katharine of Aragon Festival 2026 👑 24 January – 1 February
Peterborough Cathedral, together with Peterborough Museum & Art Gallery, present the 2026 Katharine of Aragon Festival, an annual celebration of the queen whose resting place has made this city one of the most significant Tudor sites in the country.
This year’s programme brings distinguished historians and authors, including Alison Weir and Dr Owen Emmerson among others, to Peterborough for a series of illuminating talks that deepen our understanding of Katharine’s life, the Tudor court, and the turbulent age in which she lived.
Visitors will also be invited to experience the Cathedral and Museum through a rich programme of events including:
• Guided tours that trace Katharine’s final days and legacy
• An evocative after-dark light and sound experience
• Tudor music and sword-fighting demonstrations
• Creative family activities across both sites
• The annual Commemoration Service, a moving moment of civic remembrance at Katharine’s tomb
At the Museum, the exhibition Queens, Cousins & Courts offers a wider lens on Tudor power, transformation, and intrigue, complementing the festival’s themes with depth and imagination alongside Tudor tours, performances and talks. We hope you can join us!
