We have our regular Open Afternoon on Saturday 13th June from 2-4 pm. Please come along!

We are looking forward to this event on 13th June (please go along in the morning before you visit the Community Garden 2-4pm that same afternoon!).

Not only can you swap plants and gardening stuff, you can also plant a sunflower seed in a pot you make yourself. If you have nowhere outdoors to grow it at home, you can plant one to donate to the Community Garden and label it as yours so that you can come and visit it later on when it is grown up!

Despite the lovely sunny weather, sadly we have had to cancel the May Open Afternoon (would have been 9th May) as all our regular volunteers are off doing other things. We will be back in June!

All the plants enjoying the sunshine and a good watering this morning. Gooseberries, strawberries, potatoes, garlic and herbs all going strong with carrot, radish, artichoke, marigold and pepper plants all starting to take off. Our wildflower bed is full of colour now too. Unfortunately we wont be open for our monthly open afternoon on Sat May 9th but we’ll be back open for June. If you’d like to visit the garden in the meantime please message us.

As part of this, we will again be running a plant/seed/produce/gardening equipment swap (no sharps please). Bring along your unwanted seeds and swap for a lovely planter.....or vice versa.

We will once again be appearing at the Green Festival on Saturday 13th June, run by Royston Museum. We will be holding a plant, seed, produce and gardening accessories swap (no sharp tools please) and also doing some seed planting with younger visitors. If you are able to help for even an hour or so that would be very much appreciated. Please let us know if you can help or have any items to donate to the swap!

Come along to the Royston Environmental Group AGM if you are interested in the future of the Community Garden as well as other fun environmental activities locally. 7.30 pm, Tuesday 14th April, Coombes Community Centre.

Great open afternoon today! Lots accomplished - weeding, tidying, seedling planting out, seed sowing and the first of many watering sessions from our water butts now the weather is getting warmer and dryer.
