WW&W Wingfoil Youth Camps is the place to learn how to Wingfoil this summer 🌟

We provide all of the equipment, including high quality, wings, boards, foils, helmets, lifejackets, wetsuits, with fantastic and fun instruction to get young kids into the sport!

At Wylde Wind & Water, we are proud to offer water spots and water safety education for our community in Hood River, Oregon! We offer a variety of programs, including free community programs, so everybody, regardless of prior experience, can participate in water spots!

Our full schedule is on our website & performance programs are open for registration. All fees from performance programs support our free community programs!

If you’re not in Hood River and can’t participate in our programs, consider making a donation! Every donation goes a long ways to support local health, wellbeing and opportunity.

Dream big, try new things, and not afraid to fall 💪👏 Celebrating all the girls and women who push boundaries everyday, learning new things, having fun along the way, and discovering enjoyment! Sport isn’t always easy, but it teaches us so much confidence that we can carry through all aspects of our life. Sometimes you don’t think you can do something, but you might just surprise yourself if you try!

The JET and DEVO team is more than a stand-up paddle team. The team teaches confidence, water, safety awareness, and a camaraderie amongst young athletes. In the past few years we’ve shifted our focus to include water safety skills, including strong swimming, rescue, and prone paddling. We will be continuing this in 2026, building strong young waterman and waterwomen to have the skills necessary to paddle and participate in water sports in all the conditions that the Columbia River provides.

Registration for the JET and DEVO team opens on February 7, this Saturday, at 8 AM! The JET and DEVO team is a summer long team and make sure to register early to ensure your spot.

During the winter time when the weather is cold and we’re not running on-water programs, we visit classrooms to share water safety education with all schools in Hood River County.

Last week 55 4th graders learned about water safety & the importance of lifejackets at Mid Valley Elementary 🛟

Big thanks to Hannah Sebring, WW&W Environment Education Specialist, for sharing important knowledge with local students.

Next week all Performance Programs will open up for registration, including Wingfoil Youth Camps!!

Here you see one of our Wingfoil Youth Introduction Camps learning how to wing on non-foiling boards before progressing to foil boards. And of course, you also see the ‘Self Rescue Race’! 🛟

Our goal is to teach the skills necessary to be safe and competent in the water while having the maximum amount of fun! 🤩

Wingfoil Youth Team is back in 2026!! The team is a summer-long training program focused on developing youth Wingfoil skills, inspiring young athletes, and most of all, having fun and training together.

Open for kids between 12-18 who already have some Wingfoil experience. Athletes must be able to gybe and sail upwind in control to be on the Wingfoil team. We will be focusing on freestyle, racing, overall Wingfoil skills and will have a strong focus on competition.

Athletes will not be required to compete, but we will focus our training building skills for events like and Wingfoil National Racing Championships, among other events!

More than just a Stand Up Paddle team, JET & DEVO is where young athletes build water confidence, master safety skills, and grow independence, all while having a blast on the water 🤩🥳

Since 2011, our teams have trained all summer in varying weather conditions, developing strong paddlers and even stronger teammates.

In 2026, the JET & DEVO Teams will train together, sharpening stand up paddle technique, pushing confidence, and embracing the fun, challenge, and camaraderie that makes this program so special.

Practices run three early mornings each week—the best way to start the day energized, focused, and on the water. 🌅

Our Wingfoil Youth Camps are back in summer 2026! Two levels of camps, designed for kids to learn the fundamentals of Wingfoiling and progress to Wingfoiling in control, all while having fun and becoming safe and self-sufficient Wingfoilers!

🌟Wingfoil Youth Intro Camps: first timers, or kids that want a refresher. Start with non-foiling boards and progress to foiling boards.

🌟 Next Steps Wingfoil Youth Camp: For kids who have some wingfoil experience or have participated in our Intro Camp. Focused on learning foil control, foiling maneuvers and improving all skills related to Wingfoiling!

There are 9 camp session for both Intro & Next Steps camps in 2026! Each camp is limited to 8 students and will be coached in a 2:1 ratio. Full camp schedule & details on our website.
