Grace Diaz grew up in a life shaped by service, movement, and the lessons her father carried home from the Army.
The daughter of United States Army Major Robert Diaz, Grace spent much of her childhood living in different parts of the world, from Japan to Italy to Georgia, experiencing new cultures and meeting people from every background. Those experiences taught her something lasting: how to welcome others, how to listen, and how to build friendships wherever life takes her.
Today, Grace is finishing her senior year of high school, where her passion for creativity and leadership shines. She performs in theater productions, leads as the Troupe President of her Thespian Society, and serves as a wrestling team manager, capturing unforgettable moments through photography along the way. Whether she’s rehearsing for a musical, representing her school in theater competitions, or balancing a demanding academic schedule, Grace approaches each opportunity with determination and heart.
Her father’s 28 years of service taught her lessons that continue to guide her: respect for others, resilience through change, and the importance of loving the people around you fully. Now retired, Major Diaz finally has the chance to spend more time at home, sharing music, laughter, and the everyday moments that military families sometimes miss.
Grace’s journey is still unfolding. With dreams of pursuing a career in theater and storytelling, she carries forward the strength, compassion, and leadership her father modeled throughout his service.
