Through our work as Community Champions we hope to challenge and change out of date negative perceptions of funeral directors by working closely with the communities in which we work. We are more than just a funeral director and have been a family business for over 330 years. We are dedicated to making a difficult time that little bit easier and carry our philosophy that every life is unique in every aspect of our lives. We intend to make a valuable contribution to our local communities and to continue to break down the taboo’s surrounding the work of a funeral director.

Some of the families we look after have said goodbye to a child. There are no words that make that lighter, so we won't try. But in every community we're part of, the kettle is on and the door is open, this month and every month.

If you are grieving a child, organisations like Sands - baby loss charity and The Compassionate Friends offer real specialist support, and we will always help you find the right one. And whenever you want company rather than counsel, our Never Alone groups are there. A cup of tea, a walk, a chat, free, every week, and for everyone, whether we've looked after your family or not.

💙🕯️ Blue Christmas at St. Luke's Church, Brighton.

A tree glows blue. Candles line the rows. The church fills with people gathering to remember those who died.

Christmas is hard when you're grieving. This service makes space for that.
