Bates Environmental Coalition We are Bates College's student-run environmental organization! Club meetings are from 7:30-8:30pm on

Bates Environmental Coalition is a community of students dedicated to taking direct action to address the issue of climate change and energy stability, both on the Bates campus and beyond, through direct action, discussion, and campus-wide events. As a part of the international youth climate movement, we regularly partake in on-campus, nation-wide, and global campaigns to promote progressive climate legislation, climate justice, the development of renewable energy sources and the growth of green jobs. EC gatherings and actions foster a strong sense of activism on the Bates campus. There is no time to wait for someone else to solve this problem – the responsibility is ours and we are rising to the challenge!
