Girlguiding Haslemere District is run entirely by volunteers, and we currently have Rainbow, Brownie and Guide units in Haslemere, Camelsdale and Chiddingfold, offering fun, friendship and adventure to girls aged 4-18. We're always looking to welcome volunteers, whether you're new to Guiding or an experienced leader - and can't wait to hear from you if you're interested in getting involved!

What a fantastic grand day out Haslemere Brownies & Guides had in London yesterday 😍

The weather was perfect and we ticked off so many sights...Paddington's mural, South Bank, Jubilee Bridge, Embankment, London Eye, New Scotland Yard, Boadicea and Her Daughters, Palace of Westminster, the Cenotaph, 10 Downing Street ("who's Andy Burnham"? 😂), Horse Guards Parade (complete with changing of the Guard 🥰), St James's Park (and the pelicans came out for us - it's the first time they've had chicks in 360 years!), Victoria Memorial, Buckingham Palace, an amazing visit to the Royal Mews to see all the stunning coaches, Girlguiding HQ (and a badgefest!), Westminster Bridge and a picnic in the park.

Thanks to Girlguiding LaSER for inspiring us to embark on our adventure 😍

What a fantastic day we all had at the RAF STEM day at Brooklands Museum! A full guided tour to the factory, plane and stratospheric hangars, visits inside the retired planes on display, a close-up with Concorde, no-holds-barred Q&A with a RAF & Virgin Airlines pilot, making our own structurally sound aeroplanes (paper planes these weren't!), bending and rivetting the new "2nd Shottermill" plane and a fun lunchtime. The Brownies were super...it was hot 🥵 but they coped admirably and did us all proud. I think they'll sleep well tonight (as will I!). Huge thanks to the RAF for sponsoring, Brooklands Museum for facilitating, and Girlguiding Surrey West for organising 🤩

Haslemere leaders went AWOL to have some fun on their own at Cityscapes adventures in Portsmouth 😁 Ranking a respectable 36th out of 130-ish we smashed our steps targets and took in the sights and missions along the way. An amazing day full of friends and fun...ice-cream 😋 and (of course) badges 😆
