Had a great time hosting our Breakthrough Conversation Cards demo with , where we explored conversations around accessibility to reading in today’s society and gender.

It was a wonderful reminder that these cards are designed to be flexible and can go beyond a single topic, opening up meaningful conversations across different issues, lived experiences, and perspectives.

We love seeing how each session creates space for reflection, dialogue and connection.

A journey that started from March culminated to this. This year, our Azalea Initiative cohort went through lots of ups and many downs learning about themselves, breaking assumptions, building skills and stepping out of their comfort zone all in service of their growth. Their impact project is a testament to how far they have come. And we are so proud of their progress and the work they put in to create this safe space for mothers and daughters in their community.

This year's Azalea Initiative cohort dived into the world of human rights and equality in Chapter 4 of their leadership workshops. We started with the visioning exercise of what an ideal world may look like for them. They were then introduced to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights where they explained which are the top two rights they find the most important. They were also introduced to the topic of equality. We ended the day with a thought-provoking debate on the pros and cons of equality of outcome vs opportunities. This exercise is an important part of equipping our fellows to learn to express their opinions and we certainly saw that happening!
