McKenzie River Locals Helping Locals We are a grassroots organization established by long time McKenzie area residents following the Holiday Farm Fire in September 2020.

The group provides financial assistance
and economic development support to those impacted by the fire. Currently, McKenzie River Locals Helping Locals is an independently functioning committee as part of the McKenzie Valley Long Term Recovery Group. Our committee is comprised of all local McKenzie Valley Corridor residents who have a passion for the restoration of the McKenzie River area followin

g the devastating Holiday Farm Fire of 2020. Committee members include Galen Anderson (Resident), Mandy Jones (McKenzie Valley LTRG Board Member), Lacy Joy (McKenzie Charter School), Cliff Richardson (founder, retired McKenzie teacher/forester, McKenzie Community Land Trust Board Member), Eric Schiff (McKenzie Valley LTRG Board Member), Melanie Stanley (Blue River business owner, McKenzie Community Land Trust Board Member), and Mary Ellen Wheeler (founder, McKenzie Valley LTRG Staff Member). Past members include Steve Schaefers (professional local river guide), Deb Wilhite (realtor), John Shama (retired business owner), Jeanne Fager (Rainbow business owner), and Sean Allensworth (resident).

**Change of location for Coffee With The Locals **

We will be meeting at Tokatee”s 1966 Bar and Grill for the months of June through September.

We meet the first Tuesdays of each month at 10:00 am.

We will be holding our monthly meet ups at Tokatee’s 1966 Bar and Grill, for the months of June through September. Same time, First Tuesday of the month at 10:00 am.

Our guest presenter is Brendan J. Irsfeld, Emergency Coordinator, Lane County Office of Emergency Management.

Brendan has been facilitating a series of regional Community Wildfire Protection Plan update work sessions taking place in four regions of Lane county including the McKenzie River Valley. He'll be giving an overview of the CWPP update work being done county wide and specifically reflections on the recent work sessions here.
