Yesterday, the Next 100 Colorado Storytelling and Leadership Development work groups put on an event at . Coalition members and allies got to share time in nature, continue to build community, and participate in a workshop lead by the 4th mentorship cohort titled “Mapping Resilience: Stories of Community Strength.”

Cal-Wood is a beautiful area so we were sure to find time for a mindfulness walk. Together and at our own pace, we wandered outside and connected with nature in a sensory and playful way.

Later, we did a survival workshop where we split up into teams and learned some survival skills like building shelter.

Big thanks to everyone who joined us yesterday, to the 4th mentorship cohort for leading the workshop, and to Cal-Wood Education Center for having us again!

The opportunities we get to share are really what makes the newsletter valuable. They mostly come from our IRL networks but today we extend the invite to our digital friends out there.

Public lands are part of what makes home. They’re where we hike, camp, fish, and make memories. But right now, they’re under threat.

The federal government is trying to sell off and weaken protections for public lands.

But we’re coming together to say loud and clear: Colorado’s public lands are not for sale.

When: May 17th @ 10am

Where: Colorado State Capitol

What: Hear from a powerful lineup of speakers all united in the fight to defend and strengthen public lands protections and cap the event with a musical performance.
