September has arrived, and with it so should have our quarterly newsletter to your mailbox ✉️ Our 100+ flowering perennials, shrubs and trees planted since 2024 would not have been possible without the generosity of the 206 resident donors, and the additional support from the Aintree Community Association and the Townhomes of Fox Chase. We have many new families in the neighborhood, and appreciate you sharing our page on your own street/neighborhood page or directly with new neighbors for visibility.

This year, we are encountering increasing costs for the ongoing maintenance and plant replacements, and are requesting $30 voluntary donations to cover these costs. As mentioned in the letter, we take pride in our cooperative relationship with the City, who provides for our mowing needs, some tree replacements, and maintenance of perennial flowers at the Dunham Road entrance, keeping our expenses down.

Donations are accepted by any of the following:

• Check made payable to FCMF in the envelope provided in your letter
• Contact us at [email protected]

Thank you for your continued support of our beautification efforts!

On this , we know you have many worthy organizations and causes to give to. Sharing this post with your neighbors who may not yet follow us would be appreciated!

We are grateful for your support of the continued beautification and maintenance of the Fox Chase Boulevard median. If you are new to the area, you may not know that it took 10 years and the efforts of many neighbors to fully complete the transformation of the median which was once overrun with invasive weeds, unsightly shrubs and canopied with trees in poor health. Check out our website to learn more about the Foundation’s history.

The Fox Chase Boulevard Median Foundation relies on voluntary donations from area residents to maintain the landscape areas within the Fox Chase Boulevard median.
Tax deductible donations to the Median Foundation can be made at www.FoxChaseBoulevard.org or by mail.

PARK DISTRICT SEEKING COMMENTS ON PLANNED FOX CHASE PARK IMPROVEMENTS

The St. Charles Park District has developed concept plans and allocated capital funds to significantly upgrade Fox Chase Park. The list of proposed enhancements is quite extensive and includes expanding the existing playground area and adding new amenities including additional playground equipment, a metal shelter with picnic tables, a sand volleyball court, a full court basketball court and a baseball backstop. Two alternative layout and placement concept plans have been developed and posted on the Park District website.

The Park District is seeking public comment on these planned improvements, which are scheduled to begin in September 2024. We encourage Fox Chase residents to review the concept plans and provide comments using the survey form posted on the Park District website.
