🚂 Exciting News from East Dorset N Gauge Group! 🚂
We’re delighted to share that East Dorset N Gauge Group has invested in a club trailer!
This will allow us to safely and securely transport our layouts to exhibitions and events, making set-up easier and protecting all the hard work that goes into our model railways.
When not in use, the trailer will be safely locked and securely stored for peace of mind.
A big step forward for the group, we’re looking forward to getting out and about even more!

Another productive night for the East Dorset N Gauge Group!
Daniel and Chris made sure all the club’s DC locos were in perfect running order ahead of the upcoming exhibition. There was plenty of action on Sarah’s Falls, while Mark and Duncan installed the new acrylic protection screens.
Dave, Paul and Adam then put the rolling stock and running orders through their paces. Mark had adjusted the controls for the Thomas layout and then left Percy and Thomas running around the layout. Daniel even brought in his 3D printed troublesome truck faces much to Duncans delight. We also welcomed Dave and Tim to the group and a big thank you to Julie who is always busy making coffee and chatting with everyone ☕️

Our first club night of 2026 and a brilliant turnout!
With lots of preparation underway for our February exhibition, it was a very productive evening. Mark fixed the controllers on our Thomas layout, while Ben and Dave tested and ran in a box of locos generously donated by club member Bernie on the Thomas layout.
Duncan, Chris and Paul removed all the old trees from our Canadian layout, Sarah’s Falls, and replaced them with new pine trees. Adam joined us later and carried out further loco testing, making sure everything was running smoothly.
Zara completed some scenery work in the Benbridge Forest area, and Tony continued work on his scratch-built buildings. Then paul hovered the room 😆
Great teamwork all round and a fantastic start to the year!
