Journal is a nonprofit community development project utilising coproduction and a creative slant on Asset-based Community Development in new, original & creative ways to develop communities, improve wellbeing, mental health and provide community voice In short, we build resilience through creative self-help tools, physical projects and digital tech whilst raising awareness on subjects relating to mental health & emotional well-being. Journal also provides infrastructure support through graphic design, print services, project development, mental health consultancy and much more

As with all experiments, the outcome, although visualized, cannot be fully predicted. This experiment centres around a story. Our communities story. A story is a powerful tool for strengthening resilience, empathy and inspiring change. Some stories are so powerful that at times they can change lives. About The Journal Project (aka Journal)

Journal is a creative non-profit community development organisation sitting by the sea in the northern town of Blackpool, Lancashire, United Kingdom. Established, late 2016 with a purpose to document the life of our community, its inspirational story, voices, assets, mutual aid & support. Through this, we will then begin building bespoke projects, events and services utilising the assets already available in our community collected through our shared stories and participation.
