The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program competition is open for the 2027-2028 academic year!

The Humphrey Program brings accomplished mid-career professionals with demonstrated leadership potential to the United States for a year of graduate-level, non-degree study combined with professional development. The program integrates academic coursework with a range of professional enrichment activities, including visits to relevant industries, think tanks, and professional organizations, as well as participation in conferences and a professional affiliation placement.

A key component of the program is the professional affiliation, which offers Fellows firsthand experience in a U.S. work environment through a full-time placement lasting at least six weeks. Together, these elements provide a comprehensive professional enrichment experience, tailored to each Fellow’s interests and goals.

Thank you, U.S. Fulbrighters!

As the 2025-2026 academic year nears its conclusion, we gathered Fulbright U.S. Student Program grantees, representatives of host institutions, and partners for a farewell event celebrating a year of educational and cultural exchange.

Throughout the academic year, institutions such as the Universiteti i Prishtinës, Universiteti "Isa Boletini"-Mitrovicë, Universiteti "Ukshin Hoti" Prizren, American Advising Center, American Corner Pristina, American Corner Prizren, RIT Kosovo, Evidence Synthesis Group, and National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo benefited from the valuable contributions of Fulbright ETAs and Student Researchers, further strengthening ties between Kosovo and the United States.

Their engagement, professionalism, and contributions left a lasting impact across host institutions and communities in Kosovo. We thank the U.S. Embassy Pristina, Kosovo and all partner institutions for their continued support throughout the academic year.

The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program Alumni Spotlight!

Meliza Qorraj shares: “At this stage of my career, I wasn’t looking for another degree - I needed perspective. The Humphrey Program offered space to step back from daily institutional pressures and think more strategically. Being surrounded by mid‑career professionals facing similar challenges in very different contexts has sharpened how I approach problems and clarified how I structure decisions.”

Trained as a lawyer with a focus on public international law, Meliza has spent the past several years working in government in Kosovo, leading work on international agreements and legal coordination. Her experience sits at the intersection of law, policy, and diplomacy , translating legal frameworks into workable solutions across institutions. Through the Humphrey Program, she has gained a more deliberate and focused approach to decision‑making, strengthened by a global network built on shared professional experience.
