📌 PREVENT @ Cetinje Forum 2025 — In Solidarity for Democratic Resilience
Last week, PREVENT had the honour to participate in Cetinje Forum 2025, an international conference titled “Shaping Disorder: Democracy, Security and Leadership in an Age of Global Transformation.”
The Forum gathered more than 40 prominent voices from across Europe, the Western Balkans and beyond, policymakers, diplomats, academics, journalists and civil society actors, united by a shared commitment to democratic values, human rights, media freedom and European integration.
Among the distinguished participants were:
• Vesna Pusić (former Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia)

• Former diplomats and US-EU interlocutors such as Peter Galbraith
• Academics, civil society leaders and media professionals from across the region.
We had the opportunity to bring the perspective of PREVENT, underlining how civil society in Kosovo and the Western Balkans must stand as independent, engaged and principled actors in defending democratic processes, confronting disinformation and shaping policies aligned with European standards.
In times marked by global uncertainty and growing hybrid influence, this Forum reaffirmed that our civic responsibility is to build resilience, openness, and trust — through inclusive dialogue, constructive policy proposals and genuine cooperation across borders. PREVENT remains committed to advancing these values.
