Now that my very busy final chapter of law school has closed, it's time for a long overdue LinkedIn update:
I graduated from William & Mary Law School this May with two academic concentrations: Public Interest and Social Justice, and International Law. After a summer of studying, I also took the bar exam last week and am now waiting for my scores.
During my final year of law school, I had the opportunity to work on immigration cases at William & Mary's Immigration Clinic, in addition to being an Articles Editor for the William & Mary Journal of Race, Gender, and Social Justice (RGSJ) and continuing to work as a research assistant for Professor Margaret Hu. I am also very proud to share that my student note, "Countering the Criminalization of Solidarity: An Analysis of Legal Frameworks Proposed to Protect Humanitarian Aid for Migrants and Asylum Seekers", was selected and published by RGSJ in its Fall 2025 Special Issue, "Decriminalizing Migration: Reforming Immigration Law to Protect Undocumented Communities."
Finally, I am very excited to announce that, after three years in Williamsburg, VA, I will soon be moving to Worthington, MN, to begin a two-year legal fellowship at Kivu Immigration Law PLLC! Kivu Immigration Law is a social enterprise law firm focused on providing access to affordable immigration legal services in SW Minnesota and surrounding areas. As those who have been following my law school journey are most likely aware, I was drawn to the legal field because of my interest and experience in human rights, refugee issues, and immigration justice, and I spent my summers during law school interning first to support access to justice in Kosovo with CLARD Kosovo, and second to support immigration legal services in the Charlottesville office of the International Rescue Committee. This fellowship is therefore a very exciting and fitting next step to continue working toward making a difference in the field I am most passionate about, and it is an opportunity that I am very much looking forward to starting!
Thank you to all of my professors, internship supervisors, and everyone else who has mentored and supported me along my law school journey! I am deeply grateful for all of you and will continue to carry the lessons I've learned with me through my career.
